Jyotiraditya Scindia has resigned as general secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC).

Scindia’s resignation comes on the same day that Milind Deora left his post as the president of Mumbai Congress.

Scindia lost his family bastion Guna in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) swept to power with a comprehensive win.

Rahul Gandhi has also resigned from Congress presidency as the party looks to restructure after the Lok Sabha elections debacle.
