Kalna is an Assembly constituency in the Purba Bardhaman district, in the South West Bengal region of West Bengal.

The Kalna constituency went to polls on April 17, 2021.

The assembly seat is reserved for the Scheduled Caste category.

In the 2016 Assembly elections, Kalna was won by Kundu Biswajit of CPIM.

Before that, in the 2011 elections, the seat was held by Kundu Biswajit of TMC.

In the 2016 assembly polls, Kundu Biswajit garnered 97430 votes, securing over 50.32 percent of the vote share, and winning the seat by a margin of 25261 votes.

In percentage terms, the victory margin was 13.05 percent.

The constituency polled 193707 votes in the 2016 West Bengal assembly polls with a voter turnout of 88.03 percent.

The Kalna constituency has a literacy level of 77.15 percent.

A total of 6 candidates stood in the 2016 elections.
