CNBC-TV18’s Ashmit Kumar tracked the voter mood in South Delhi. It is tripartite contest between three parties – the Congress, BJP, as well as the Aam Adami Party (AAP). It is a closely fought contest.
The South Delhi constituency is considered to be a VIP constituency in Delhi. There are about 20 lakh voters and it is predominantly the jaat, gujar, and the purvanchali community and that reflects in the choice of candidates. Ramesh Bidhuri from the BJP is fighting for the second time from this seat. He won last time and will be looking for a repeat this time around as well. However, the Congress has fielding Vijendra Singh and Raghav Chadha's is AAP's candidate.
