Mizoram Election Dates, Results 2023: Voting to be held on November 7, result on December 3

The Election Commission announced the poll schedule for the Mizoram Assembly Election 2023 on Monday, October 9. The state will go to polls on November 7 in a single phase. The result of the 40-member assembly will be announced on December 3. Here's a look of full schedule of the polls:

Date of issue of Gazetted notification	October 13
Last date of filing nominations	October 20
Date of scrutiny of nominations	October 21
Last date of withdrawal of candidature	October 23
Date of poll	November 7
Date of counting of votes	December 3

Currently, the state is ruled by the Mizo National Front with Chief Minister Zoramthanga at the helm.

The tenure of the current Assembly will end on January 3, 2024.
