The Election Commission announced the poll schedule for the Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023 on Monday, October 9. The assembly elections in the state will take place in a single phase on November 23. The counting of votes for the 200-member assembly will take place on December 3. Here's a look of full schedule of the polls:

Date of issue of Gazetted notification	October 30
Last date of filing nominations	November 6
Date of scrutiny of nominations	November 7
Last date of withdrawal of candidature	November 9
Date of poll	November 23
Date of counting of votes	December 3
Date before which the elections shall be completed	December 5

Currently, the state is ruled by Congress with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at the helm. The state is witnessing a direct contest between BJP and Congress.

The state has a history of not letting the incumbent return to power.

The tenure of the current Assembly will end on January 14, 2024.
