Traffic woes, pollution and jobs are the top three issues for Delhi voters and the state government fares below average on all three counts, according to an Association of Democratic Reforms survey.

As many as 50 percent of the surveyed voters rate Traffic Congestion as their topmost priority, followed by Water and Air Pollution at 44.52 percent, and Better Employment Opportunities at 43.07 percent.

According to the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) survey, the performance of the government on all top three issues - Traffic Congestion (2.27 on a scale of 5), Water and Air Pollution (2.29), and Better Employment Opportunities (2.29) was rated as 'Below Average'.

Additionally, Delhi voters believe that the government has performed poorly in Empowerment of Women and Security (1.85 out of 5) and Noise Pollution (2.27).

For rural parts of Delhi, the topmost priority for voters is Higher Price Realisation for Farm Products (56 percent), Better Employment Opportunities (52 percent), and Electricity for Agriculture (44 percent), the ADR survey added. Delhi's rural voters also rated the performance of the government as 'Below Average' with a rating ranging between 2 and 2.25 on all three priority areas.

The ADR survey was conducted between October 2018 and December 2018 across 534 Lok Sabha constituencies with over 2.73 lakh voters participating in the exercise, the report said.
