Uttarpara is an Assembly constituency in the Hooghly district, in the South-West Bengal region of West Bengal.

The Uttarpara constituency went to polls on April 10, 2021. The assembly seat is reserved for the General category.

In the 2016 Assembly elections, Uttarpara was won by Prabir Kumar Ghosal of CPIM. Before that, in the 2011 elections, the seat was held by Anup Ghosal of TMC.

In the 2016 assembly polls, Prabir Kumar Ghosal garnered 84918 votes, securing over 44.89 percent of the vote share, and winning the seat by a margin of 12000 votes. In percentage terms, the victory margin was 6.34 percent.

The constituency polled 189230 votes in the 2016 West Bengal assembly polls with a voter turnout of 78.14 percent.

The Uttarpara constituency has a literacy level of 82.55 percent. A total of 6 candidates stood in the 2016 elections.
