Visually impaired and blind voters to get braille voter slips in the Lok Sabha polls due later this year. This move is a part of Election Commision's 'Accessible Elections' Strategy.

The Election Commission also plans to provide braille election photo identity cards to visually challenged voters.

Braille enabled slips were used in recently held assembly elections.

Electronic voting machines already have the braille feature.
