Apr 29, 2020 8:58 AM

Nearly three weeks after the official Twitter handle of the White House followed PM Narendra Modi, President Ramnath Kovind and the PMO on Twitter, it has now unfollowed all of them, according to media reports.

The White House also unfollowed the Indian embassy in the US and the US embassy in India.

White House is the official residence of the President of the United States of America.

According to media reports, White House started following Narendra Modi, President Kovind and the PMO around April 10. The White House used to follow 19 accounts then and now the number has reduced to 13.

United States President Donald Trump shares warm relations with PM Modi. However, his recent comments on India's decision to ban exports of hydroxychloroquine was widely interpreted as a threat to India.

Soon, India agreed to supply hydroxychloroquine to the US. Trump later thanked Modi for India's decision to partially lift a ban on the export of the anti-malarial drug.
