Emami reported poor fourth-quarter results on Monday due to a prolonged winter and delay in summer, CEO NH Bhansali. Winter products like Borosil showed good growth of double-digit along with a 15 percent growth for Kesh King, he said. International business too showed good growth of around 13 percent in FY19. Going forward expect 30 percent growth for international business both organic and inorganic.
The FMCG major reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 56.09 crore for the fourth quarter, down 6 percent over the corresponding period PAT of Rs 59.73 crore of FY18. Revenue from operation during the quarter was Rs 639.64 crore, compared to Rs 616.97 crore in the same quarter of FY18.
Overall growth for the organisation would be in double-digits in FY20, said Bhansali.
Volume growth in FY19 grew 4-5 percent and are expected to be in high single-digits in FY20, he said. Going forward, he is also hopeful of seeing margin improvement from the current levels. So, the business outlook for FY20 remains positive, he added.
