Apple has said it is working on fixing a 'bug', which was among the reasons a few of the newly-released iPhone 15 handsets were heating up, the tech giant told news agency AFP

The iPhone maker will be addressing the issue in an update to its latest iOS 17 mobile operating software, as it is collaborating with developers of a few apps that are adding to the problem.

Apple told AFP on Monday that it had identified a few cnditions that can cause the phone to run warmer than expected. According to the iPhone maker, some handsets could feel warmer for some days after their initial set-up because of increased background activity.

The company said it had also found a bug in its iOS 17 which is impacting a few users and the same will be addressed in a software update.

It said another issue involves a few recent updates to third-party apps that are causing them to overload the system, AFP reported.

Recently, the Cupertino, California-headquartered company said that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max do not suffer from overheating due to the design, rather the new titanium shells result in improved heat dissipation compared to prior stainless steel models, news agency Reuters reported, adding that, Apple had also said the issue is not a safety or injury risk, and will not impact the phone's long-term performance.
