Cheniere Energy, Taiwan Semiconductor And A Big Bank Stock On CNBC's 'Final Trades'

On CNBC's “Halftime Report Final Trades ,” Jim Lebenthal of Cerity Partners praised Cheniere Energy, Inc. ( LNG ) for its recent earnings report.

On Aug. 8, Cheniere Energy reported second-quarter 2024 revenue of $3.251 billion. That’s down 21% Y/Y, missing the consensus of $3.518 billion. EPS of $3.84 exceeded the consensus of $1.69 in the quarter.

Kevin Simpson of Capital Wealth Planning said he sold in August a $215 call on JPMorgan Chase & Co. ( JPM )

JPMorgan Chase ( JPM ) provided an artificial-intelligence assistant to more than 60,000 employees, with plans to eventually make the technology available throughout the company. The program, called LLM Suite, is designed to help employees with tasks such as writing emails and reports, CNBC reported.

Stephen Weiss of Short Hills Capital Partners named Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited ( TSM ) as his final trade.

The semiconductor giant reported a consolidated revenue of approximately NT$256.95 billion ($7.9 billion) for July 2024, which is a 23.6% increase from June and a substantial 44.7% surge from July 2023. Furthermore, TSMC's revenue from January to July 2024 totaled NT$1,523.11 billion ($46.44 billion), a 30.5% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Price Action:

JPMorgan ( JPM ) shares gained 0.9% to close at $205.80 on Friday.

Cheniere Energy gained 1.8% to settle at $183.17 during Friday's session.

Taiwan Semiconductor shares rose 1.6% to settle at $167.12 on Friday.
