Aug 19 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,

acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on Monday:

** AMD said it plans to acquire server maker ZT

Systems for $4.9 billion as the company seeks to expand its

portfolio of artificial intelligence chips and hardware.

** Japan's Seven & i ( SVNDF ) said it had received a

preliminary takeover offer from Canada's Alimentation

Couche-Tard ( ANCTF ) making the 7-Eleven owner the largest-ever

Japanese target of a foreign buyout.

** Thailand's Ratanarak Group now has a controlling stake in

Siam City Cement after buying Singapore-based Jardine

Cycle & Carriage's 25.54% holding for 12.18 billion

baht ($353.25 million).

** UK homebuilder Barratt said a condition by the

competition regulator for its acquisition of smaller rival

Redrow ( RDWWF ) was waived to satisfy a legal completion this

week, but the firms will remain separate until the watchdog

clears the deal.
