Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk’s start-up xAI Grok is all set to begin offering AI services from Saturday, November 4. This launch comes almost a year after ChatGPT revolutionised the integration of generative AI into various aspects of business and daily life.
Musk took to his X platform on November 3 to share the news, stating, “Tomorrow, xAI will release its first AI to a select group. In some important respects, it is the best that currently exists.”
He added that once xAI emerges from its early beta stage, the Grok system will be made accessible to all Premium+ subscribers of the microblogging platform X.
To gain access to Grok, users can subscribe to X’s recently launched Premium Plus plan, priced at $16 a month, offering ad-free access to the micro-blogging platform, reported TechCrunch.
Grok distinguishes itself from other models due to its real-time access to information through X and its internet browsing capabilities, enabling it to fetch up-to-date information from the web about specific topics, Musk said. Like ChatGPT, Grok also possesses internet browsing capabilities, allowing it to provide users with comprehensive and timely information.
