Entertainment Industry Veterans Launch Unified Production Platform (UPP)
Mar 26, 2026 8:03 PM

Mujeebur Rahmansaher, Greg Smith, and An De Vooght—architects of a successful entertainment industry exit—launch a next-generation SaaS platform built for any company producing content.

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Unified Production Platform (UPP) today announced its official launch, led by founder Mujeebur Rahmansaher and partners Greg Smith and An De Vooght—three entertainment industry veterans who collectively built, scaled, and successfully exited one of the industry’s most prominent production companies.

UPP is a SaaS-based, cloud-native, AI-powered production management platform that unifies casting, payroll, compliance, analytics, and workflow management into a single intelligent ecosystem. Unlike traditional employer-of-record models tied to a single provider, UPP is an open-market software platform available to any organization producing content—from major studios and global agencies to independent production houses, brands, and agencies. From pre-production to final wrap, UPP empowers teams to work smarter, faster, and more collaboratively.

“I’ve spent my entire career inside entertainment production technology—building the systems, solving the problems, and seeing the gaps up close,” said Mujeebur Rahmansaher, Founder of UPP. “UPP is the culmination of everything I’ve learned. We built it as a SaaS platform deliberately—so that any company producing content can access world-class production management without being locked into a single vendor.”

A Proven Track Record

All three founders played critical roles at The TEAM Companies, a leading payroll, business affairs, and technology provider serving the advertising, music, live events, and entertainment industries. Rahmansaher served as CTO, Smith as COO/CRO, and De Vooght as Global CFO. Under their leadership, the company grew into an industry powerhouse before being acquired by Cast & Crew—backed by EQT VIII, one of Europe’s largest private equity firms—in 2022. Rahmansaher previously spent a decade at Deluxe Entertainment Services leading enterprise technology. Smith previously served as Global CIO at McCann Worldgroup, while De Vooght spent 16 years at Red Bull, where she served as CFO of North America and Global EVP of Internal Management Advisory.

“We’ve been through the full lifecycle—startup to scale to exit,” said Greg Smith, Partner at UPP. “We know what works, what doesn’t, and what the industry is missing. UPP is our answer to all of it.”

“The entertainment industry deserves financial and operational infrastructure that matches its creative ambition,” said An De Vooght, Partner at UPP. “UPP is purpose-built to bring clarity, efficiency, and intelligence to every aspect of production management.”
