From continental Europe, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical companies DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) and MorphoSys ( MOR ) , which rose 7.3% and 2.5%, respectively. They were followed by semiconductor company Sequans Communications ( SQNS ) and software firm SAP (SAP), which increased 1.6% and 1.1%, respectively.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by financial services company Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria ( BBVA ) and biopharmaceutical company Calliditas Therapeutics ( CALT ) , which lost 2.9% and 1.8%, respectively. They were followed by oil and gas company TotalEnergies (TTE) and telecommunications operator Telefonica ( TEF ) , which dropped 1.5% and 1.4%, respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biotech firms Trinity Biotech ( TRIB ) and Autolus Therapeutics ( AUTL ) , which increased 5.6% and 3.7%, respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Silence Therapeutics ( SLN ) and biopharmaceutical company Mereo BioPharma Group ( MREO ) , which rose 3.6% and 2.2%, respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical companies Biodexa Pharmaceuticals ( BDRX ) and Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ) , which fell 3.5% and 3.2%, respectively. They were followed by educational publisher Pearson (PSO) and construction materials supplier CRH (CRH), which were down 2.4% and 1.5%, respectively.
