HOYA Vision Care Announces the Launch of VisuPro™ Advanced Focus Lenses for Emerging Presbyopes
Sep 15, 2025 4:50 AM

HOYA has created a new category of spectacle lenses for a new generation of wearers

LEWISVILLE, Texas, Sept. 15, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- HOYA® Vision Care, a leader in ophthalmic lens technology, announces the launch of VisuPro™ All Day and VisuPro™ Flex advanced focus eyeglass lenses. These lenses are designed to support individuals aged 36–44 who are beginning to experience early signs of presbyopia—the gradual loss of the eyes' ability to focus on nearby objects.1 The lenses are available to order on September 17 in the U.S., with plans to launch in Canada later this year.

"Current eyewear often overlooks the unique needs of younger individuals facing early presbyopia," said Samy Lauriette, Vice President of Strategic Marketing. "Early intervention is essential to maintain visual clarity and comfort. VisuPro represents a new standard in personalized vision care, offering proactive support and innovative lens technology."

Eye care professionals are invited to experience this latest lens and take advantage of the Visionary Alliance® introductory offer of up to $15 extra on VisuPro™, iD LifeStyle® 4, or MySV® when combined with Sensity® or HiVision Meiryo®.

Recent research conducted by HOYA reveals:

53% of existing spectacle wearers and 60% of non-spectacle wearers aged 36–44 report increasing difficulty seeing clearly at near distances and when using digital devices. 2Single vision lenses often become insufficient for spectacle wearers in this age group. Many patients hesitate to adopt progressive lenses due to adaptation concerns or perceived age inappropriateness.Current solutions fail to adequately address the needs of non-spectacle wearers, such as emmetropes, contact lens users, and patients who also require near vision support after refractive surgery (such as LASIK).VisuPro lenses are engineered to enhance close-up vision for young presbyopes, delivering sharp and comfortable focus across all distances throughout the day.

Two core technologies work together in the VisuPro lens design:

Focus Max Optimization provides additional vision support at close distance, allowing sharper and more comfortable focus during near distance activities and digital usage. It can also help reduce eye strain or visual fatigue when working with digital devices – a benefit that over two-thirds of young presbyopic patients surveyed were highly interested in.HOYA's unique Binocular Harmonization Technology™ (BHT) considers the prescription for the right and left eyes to calculate and harmonize the prescription in the lenses for effortless focusing, stability, and enhanced depth of vision for all wearers."The launch of VisuPro exemplifies our commitment to delivering exceptional value and innovation to eye care professionals," said Eduardo Martins, President of HOYA Vision Care, North America. "VisuPro is more than a lens; it's a testament to our dedication to enhancing clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction."

Eye care professionals can visit HOYAVision.com for additional information about VisuPro, including training materials, sales aids, and patient education resources.

Visionary Alliance Offer: From October 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, new and existing Visionary Alliance® members can receive extra rebates of up to $15 per order on VisuPro™ on top of current rebates offered by HOYA. The offer applies to VisuPro™, iD LifeStyle® 4, or MySV® when combined with Sensity® or HiVision Meiryo®.

ECPs who want to participate but aren't currently members can enroll in the program without commitments or contracts. Full terms and conditions can be found on the Visionary Alliance website.
