JERUSALEM, May 27 (Reuters) - Israeli defence
electronics firm Elbit Systems reported
higher quarterly profit, with revenue boosted by an increase in
demand from Israel's military to fight Hamas militants in Gaza.
One of Israel's largest defence contractors, the company
said on Tuesday it earned $1.81 per diluted share excluding
one-time items in the first quarter of 2024, compared to $1.78 a
year earlier.
Revenue rose to $1.55 billion from $1.39 billion.
Elbit's board declared a first-quarter dividend of $0.50 per
share.
