Technology transformation leader with experience spanning startups to leading global organizations joins Render to help scale the engineering organization supporting the company's AI-first future

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Render Networks, the system of execution for critical infrastructure, today named John Sullivan as Chief Technology Officer. The appointment follows the company's growth investment and acquisition of mPower Innovations, and puts a veteran technology executive in charge of scaling Render’s AI and platform architecture.

Over more than three decades, Sullivan has led technology and business transformation across startups, scale-ups, and leading global technology companies. His experience includes executive leadership as a CEO and CTO, including Head of Solutions Architecture and CTO for ISV & SaaS at AWS, where he helped software companies modernize, innovate, and grow.

"The infrastructure industry isn't looking for more software. It's looking for technology that helps organizations execute with greater certainty," said Stephen Rose, CEO of Render Networks. "AI is changing what's possible, but realizing that opportunity requires changing how software is built and delivered. John's experience leading technology transformation through periods of growth will help us move faster."

As Render accelerates its next wave of AI innovation, Sullivan will partner with Chief Product & Partnership Officer Rob Laudati, who leads product strategy and market direction, to strengthen the engineering organization while leading the technology, architecture, and software delivery that will help the company continue operating as an AI-first organization.

"Throughout my career, I've seen technology create the most value when it moves in lockstep with the business," said John Sullivan, Chief Technology Officer at Render Networks. "What attracted me to Render was its clear vision for where the industry is headed and the opportunity to help shape it. I'm looking forward to building on the strong foundation already in place and creating an engineering culture where great ideas become great products.”

Sullivan joins as Render continues expanding ClearWay, its agentic AI layer built on Databricks. ClearWay brings AI beyond analysis and into execution through governed agents that validate work, guide decisions, and act on real-time field data. Sullivan will help scale the engineering organization and technical architecture that will accelerate the next generation of AI across the Render platform.
