Lenovo introduces 2 budget smartphones in India
Oct 16, 2018 10:42 AM

After a hiatus of more than a year, Chinese technology company Lenovo on Tuesday launched its K9 smartphone in India for Rs 8,999 and A5 at a starting price of Rs 5,999.

Both the devices will be available only on Flipkart.

"Over the past year, we have taken time to assess the robust India market to understand the changing dynamics of the consumer through our partnership with Flipkart. The K9 and A5 have been co-created using Flipkart's insights and taking into consideration our customers' dynamic requirements," Edward Chang, Vice President, Lenovo, said in a statement.

The Lenovo K9 sports a 5.7-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9.

The device is fuelled by an 8-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM.

There are 13MP+5MP dual front and rear cameras with features like bokeh effect, auto-focus and flash for both front and rear shooters.

A 3,000mAh battery powers the smartphone and the company has provided type-C charging.

The device runs Android 8.1 Oreo OS.

The Lenovo A5 comes with 5.45-inch HD 18:9 screen with 80.3 per cent screen-to-body ratio, the company said.

It would be available in black and gold colours.

The company is offering the phone in 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM and 3GB RAM + 32GB memory variants.

There is a 4,000mAh battery with intelligent power-saving feature that ensures uninterrupted use of your phone throughout the day, the company claimed.
