SAN JOSE, Oct. 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Lexar, a leading global brand of flash memory solutions, is excited to announce the ES5 Magnetic Portable SSD. Designed to deliver portable storage this SSD provides powerful speeds up to 2000MB/s read and 2000MB/s write1 to enhance creative workflows.

Available in capacities up to 4TB, The Lexar® ES5 Magnetic Portable SSD supports MagSafe to quickly attach to a compatible iPhone2 and it comes with an additional ring accessory to give any device a magnetic surface to attach to. With the ES5 Portable SSD magnetically secured to a mobile device, users can shoot up to 4K at 60FPS for iPhone 15, 4K at 120FPS for iPhone 16 and 17 (or newer), and up to 8K 30FPS with Samsung S25 (or newer).

The Lexar® ES5 Magnetic Portable SSD features a slim design to prevent unnecessary added bulk, and a liquid silicone coating to provide a comfortable grip. The ES5 Magnetic Portable SSD also provides IP65 dust and water resistance and comes with a three-meter drop resistance4 to endure outdoor use.

Please do not cut off the power or disconnect during the recording process, as this may result in the recorded video not being saved successfully or being unplayable. After the video recording is completed, it is recommended to safely eject the hard drive before disconnecting it.

Rated as IP65 and 3-meter anti-drop based on internal testing conducted under controlled conditions. Actual water, dust and drop resistance capabilities may vary. Damage caused by liquid, dust and drop are not covered under warranty.

Apple plans to release Final Cut Camera version 2.0 with support for ProRes RAW at a later date. Lexar will evaluate and test product compatibility once the update becomes available.
