KUALA LUMPUR, July 30 (Reuters) - Malaysia has secured
2.97 billion ringgit ($702 million) in confirmed investments
from leading Chinese technology companies, the digital ministry
said on Wednesday.
The investing firms include Baidu ( BIDU ), Tsing Digital,
iSoftStone, Inspur Group, China Mobile International, and China
Unicom, the ministry said in a statement.
The funds will be used to develop artificial intelligence
capabilities and next-generation digital infrastructure, and
will create 6,800 high-value digital jobs, the ministry said.
