NetLaw Becomes Hargrove MSO as Demand for Attorney-Led Estate Planning Accelerates Across Wealth Management
Aug 12, 2026 6:16 AM

Planning volume has doubled since January; Hargrove Firm continues unchanged as the national law firm at the center of the model

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

NetLaw, the organization behind Hargrove Firm's national estate planning operations, is now Hargrove Management Services Organization, Inc. ("Hargrove MSO"), unifying the brand around the law firm at the center of its model. The change comes as wealth management firms — collectively overseeing more than $400 billion in client assets — drive record demand for attorney-led estate planning: planning volume through Hargrove Firm has doubled since January 2026, capped by a record July that ran roughly 30% ahead of the prior month.

Attorney-led planning has always been delivered by the attorneys of Hargrove Firm; the renaming makes that structure visible in the brand. Hargrove Firm delivers the legal services. Hargrove MSO provides the service infrastructure behind the firm's national footprint — software development, partnerships, marketing, onboarding, and client service. Nothing changes for clients or partner firms: engagements, contracts, teams, and points of contact remain the same.

"The market has told us loud and clear: families want a lawyer in their corner," said Alex Hargrove, J.D., CEO of Hargrove MSO. "Hargrove Firm is that lawyer, and Hargrove MSO exists so the firm can deliver that experience at national scale. Putting the Hargrove name on the organization simply makes the structure as clear as the mission."

Hargrove Firm, founded by Jamie Hargrove, a former BigLaw partner, provides malpractice-backed, attorney-led estate planning in all 50 states, delivered in partnership with wealth management firms — combining attorney oversight, technology, and a scalable service experience.

"Hargrove Firm has fundamentally transformed how we deliver estate planning to our clients," said Scott Luhnau, Head of Multi-Generational Wealth Planning at Mariner Wealth Advisors and Hargrove advisory board member.

Backed by Conditor Equity

Hargrove MSO is backed by private equity investors led by John Cochran of Conditor Equity, with participation from industry insiders including Ron Cordes, founder of AssetMark and a board member of Hargrove MSO.

"We backed this team because every wealth management firm needs an estate planning answer that scales without sacrificing attorney accountability," said John Cochran, Founder, Conditor Equity and Chairman of the Board at Hargrove MSO. "This year's growth shows how strong that pull is."
