PSG Completes Sale of Chatmeter to Alchemer
Sep 24, 2025 5:51 AM

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

PSG, a leading growth equity firm that specializes in partnering with software and technology-enabled services companies to capitalize on transformational growth, today announced it has completed the sale of Chatmeter, a leading customer intelligence and brand reputation software platform for multi-location businesses to Alchemer. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Chatmeter supports multi-location brands across industries including retail, hospitality, financial services, and more with its AI-powered reputation management platform. The acquisition expands Alchemer’s CX platform by combining direct feedback (surveys, in-app prompts) with indirect feedback (reviews, social media, customer comments). This enables organizations to capture, connect, and act on a wide range of customer signals, identify patterns across the customer journey, and take more efficient, informed actions.

“Throughout our partnership, the PSG team has been a steadfast supporter of Chatmeter’s growth and product innovation,” said John Mazur, CEO of Chatmeter. “Their conviction and in-depth experience with AI-powered product investment allowed for the development of advanced AI capabilities that have helped position us for success in this exciting next chapter.”

“As a true thought partner during the investment, PSG’s collaborative approach enabled Chatmeter to enhance its suite of services for multi-location brands,” said Collin Holmes, Founder of Chatmeter. “Their deep operational experience provided strategic resources to help take the company into a new phase of growth and I am thrilled to see Chatmeter continue this journey with Alchemer.”

“We are proud of our partnership with Chatmeter, having supported its growth in the market,” said Paul Russ, Principal at PSG. “We believe the company is well-positioned for the future, and we look forward to seeing what the partnership with Alchemer holds.”

Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP acted as legal counsel and Lincoln International LLC acted as financial advisor to PSG.
