12:30 PM EDT, 07/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:
We lift our price target by $77 to $369, 47x our '26 EPS view, above peers and CDNS's five-year average (~41x) on strong hardware/IP performance, AI tailwinds, and upside from its new agentic AI platform. We lift our '25 EPS view by $0.13 to $6.92 and increase '26's by $0.12 to $7.86. We were impressed by the marquee names (Samsung, STMicro) endorsing CDNS's agentic AI platform (Cerebrus AI Studio, released in May), where ~20% PPA improvements meaningfully exceed the already-strong ~15% benefit offered by its existing GenAI tools. It could be a more immediate revenue tailwind if sold outside of subscription contracts offering an important boost to the software side of Core EDA (+16% Y/Y), which has lagged hardware performance in recent quarters. In SD&A (+35%), we worry that tough comps may see a growth deceleration in Q3, while competitive pressures from the recently-closed SNPS/ANSYS merger provide additional challenges, but advanced packaging strength should support continued double-digit growth.
