The company has expanded into an 80,000 square foot temperature-controlled warehouse at 7979 South Hardy Drive in Tempe, growing RK's local footprint to nearly 158,000 square feet. The facility is equipped for storage of a variety of commercial and industrial products, and features material handling equipment and trained personnel to support efficient management of inventory and rapid fulfillment of orders. It has 25 dock doors for loading and unloading of freight, 30-foot clear-height ceilings, and over 200 parking spaces for trucks, trailers and autos.

Last year, RK established its first operation in the Phoenix area, taking over a lease on a 79,000 square foot space at adjacent 7929 South Hardy Drive, Tempe. The agreement included existing freight handling and warehousing contracts as well as a modest fleet of trucks and trailers.

The new Tempe site offers RK's full portfolio of warehouse management, logistics and supply chain support services including customized warehousing and secured storage for bulk and palletized goods, inventory control and maintenance, order assembly and kitting, order fulfillment and expedited, dedicated transportation.

James Bryant, RK's chief operating officer, emphasized as well the facility's strategic location, which provides timely access to Sky Harbor International Airport, its proximity to key east-west and north-south interstate highways, and efficient access to major nationwide intermodal rail operations.

This latest expansion complements the company's growing presence in California, Michigan, Texas and New York, where RK is supporting customers in the lithium-ion battery, electric vehicle manufacturing, and semiconductor manufacturing sectors.

The new Tempe location joins existing RK Logistics sites providing warehousing, transportation and related supply chain management services.
