SEOUL, Nov 13 (Reuters) - SK Hynix's ( HXSCF ) U.S.
subsidiary Solidigm launches the 122 terabyte (TB) enterprise
solid-state drive (eSSD), the company said on Wednesday.
The U.S. subsidiary of the world's second-largest memory
chip maker produces eSSDs, which are seeing rapidly growing
demand as part of the artificial intelligence boom. The 122 TB
eSSD doubles Solidigm's earlier 61.44 TB version.
Micron on Tuesday said it has begun the qualification
of its 60TB data center SSD.
Last month, SK Hynix ( HXSCF ) reported a record quarterly profit as
the Nvidia ( NVDA ) supplier booked strong sales of its advanced
chips, and said demand for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips
would continue outpace supply next year.
