TalentBridge COO Cory Kennedy Releases New Analysis on How HR Automation Software Is Redefining Modern Recruiting
Aug 10, 2026 10:27 AM

Charlotte, NC, Aug. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- A recruiter's day disappears into scheduling emails, status chasers, and follow-ups that never end. TalentBridge, the Charlotte, North Carolina based staffing and workforce solutions firm, today released a new analysis from Chief Operating Officer Cory Kennedy on what that lost time costs, and on how HR automation software is redrawing the line between work that needs a recruiter and work that only needs to get done.

Caroline, TalentBridge's AI recruiting assistant, supports candidates and recruiting teams around the clock.

"Automation gets pitched as a way to need fewer recruiters, and that is exactly backwards," said Cory Kennedy, Chief Operating Officer of TalentBridge. "The software should take the scheduling, the follow-ups, and the pipeline updates, all the work that eats a recruiter's day without using their judgment. What is left is the work clients actually pay for."

The math behind the argument is familiar to any HR leader. Manual recruiting bottlenecks compound as hiring volume grows: fill rates slow, candidate communication turns inconsistent, recruiters burn out. Teams are asked to scale hiring without proportional headcount. HR automation software closes that gap, but Kennedy finds most firms adopt it piecemeal, bolting tools onto an unchanged process instead of redesigning the workflow around what the software does well.

His analysis draws the line plainly. Screening, interview scheduling, candidate follow-ups, and pipeline tracking belong to software. Candidate relationships, assessment, and strategic advisory work belong to people. When HR automation software owns the first list, recruiter capacity moves to the second.

TalentBridge runs this model in production through Caroline, its AI recruiting assistant. "We built Caroline so our recruiters could have more conversations, not fewer," Kennedy said. "The teams that get this right do not automate the relationship. They automate everything around it."

As TalentBridge continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in recruiting, the company is quietly preparing its next generation of technology. The forthcoming launch of Caroline 2.0 and the introduction of WorkVue are set to deliver a reimagined approach to scaling hiring efforts. Exact details are being kept closely guarded, but the industry can expect further capability reveals ahead of the official debut.

The adoption window is closing. In 2025 industry research, 43 percent of organizations reported using artificial intelligence in HR functions, up from 26 percent a year earlier, with recruiting the leading use case at 66 percent. TalentBridge sees HR automation software spreading fastest in IT and technical hiring, where competition for candidates rewards speed, and lagging in compliance-heavy industries, where the barrier is implementation risk rather than the technology itself. Firms that wait pay in slower time to fill and higher recruiter turnover. The company details its approach through its artificial intelligence practice.

Kennedy closes with a test for any vendor selling HR automation software: ask how much of the workflow actually runs on software, and how much is only described that way in the sales deck. The full analysis, AI Recruitment in 2026: From Experimentation to Everyday Intelligence, is available on TalentBridge's website, along with the firm's information technology practice for employers hiring technical roles.
