TCS offers private cloud to enterprises in Canada
Dec 19, 2018 8:32 PM

Indian IT bellwether Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Wednesday unveiled a new private cloud in Canada to help enterprises move into the digital space.

"Our enterprise cloud platform is a dynamic solution stack that provides multiple and flexible options, including IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (platform as a service) and hybrid capabilities," said the city-based IT behemoth in a statement here.

The platform also provides a software-defined approach to solve customer challenges and offers control over both physical and virtual environments.

With enhanced security based on open standards and policy-based automation, the solution provides greater network fabric visibility, an assurance that customer data remains in Canada and enables enterprises operate in legacy environments.

"We are extending our cloud offerings to customers in Canada and reinforcing the key role we play in their digital transformation," said TCS global head for cloud infrastructure Satish Chandra Doreswamy in the statement.

As Canadian enterprises are looking for agility and flexibility to compete in a Business 4.0 world, the outsourcing firm has been investing in building an agile-based workforce and cloud-based solutions and capabilities.

"Adoption of the platform will enable delivery of customer service solutions, ensure business continuity, enhance user experience, and reduce total cost of ownership," said company's Canada head Soumen Roy.

As among Canada's top 10 IT services vendors, the $19-billion company has introduced products and services to help customers differentiate themselves.

"We have focused on building domain solutions, which align with the needs of enterprises across sectors, spanning banking and financial services to utilities and oil and gas, resulting in end-to-end cloud services portfolio that helps them develop a digital spine, while remaining compliant with Canadian regulations," added the statement.
