TRAI may use blockchain technology to protect user data, says RS Sharma
May 29, 2018 8:26 AM

The use of blockchain technology will help protect the user's privacy, RS Sharma, Chairman, TRAI.

In order to curb unsolicited telemarketing calls to users, Trai issued new draft norms proposing the use of blockchain technology, he said.

“Not only are we upgrading the regulation, we are also providing solution architecture to implement that regulation. We are using the blockchain technology to ensure the information is kept in a manner where the users’ privacy, data is protected and at the same time is non-repudiative and verifiable,” said Sharma.
