Tired of traffic congestion? How about a flying taxi and no, we are not talking about Harry Potter's flying car.

Uber and Hyundai have joined hands to develop Uber air taxis. The companies unveiled a 100 percent electric air taxi in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020.

The air taxi can carry four passengers with a pilot and fly trips up to 100 kms. These taxis use smaller rotors to reduce noise. The model is designed to take off and land vertically. It will be piloted initially but will become autonomous over time.

Hyundai will produce and deploy the air vehicles, and Uber will provide aerial ride-share services. Both the companies plan to start its operations by 2023.
