FRANKFURT, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Volkswagen has

secured access to semiconductors from an alternative supplier to

avert potential production disruptions from a stand-off over

Dutch semiconductor maker Nexperia, a top VW executive told

newspaper Handelsblatt.

"We have an alternative supplier that could compensate for

the loss of supply of Nexperia semiconductors," the head of VW

brand production, Christian Vollmer, was quoted as saying by the

paper on Thursday.
