Xiaomi has announced the introduction of Xiaomi Studios in India with its inaugural production, "The Rolling Ball", which was reportedly shot entirely using the Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone, and in collaboration with tech giants Dolby and Qualcomm.

According to the company, Xiaomi Studios is a global community where individuals from around the world can explore and unleash their creativity using their Xiaomi phones, cultivate and accelerate their growth as filmmakers.

Anuj Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer at Xiaomi India, expressed his excitement, stating, "With Xiaomi Studios, we're putting filmmaking in the hands of everyone. 'The Rolling Ball,' shot entirely on the Xiaomi 13 Pro, epitomises the possibilities with Xiaomi devices." He extended an invitation to all creators to embrace this new era of limitless potential and embark on their creative journey with Xiaomi Studios.

The movie, coded with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, is currently available for streaming on Xiaomi India's official YouTube channel.

"The Rolling Ball", running at just two-and-a-half minutes long, tells the story of a young boy who wants to become an international cricketer for India. With a voice-over by the actor playing the boy, the film rapidly showcases his transition into an international cricketer, ending with him knocking the ball out of the park, playing for India. The short film ends with former India captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly making a surprise cameo.
