Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Advance in Monday Trading

10:38 AM EDT, 09/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were gaining Monday morning, up 0.8% to 2,001.80 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by real estate holding company KE (BEKE) and e-commerce company JD.com ( JD ) , which rose 4.5% and 3.6%, respectively.

They were followed by data center company GDS (GDS) and brokerage and wealth management platform Futu ( FUTU ) , which climbed 4.8% and 3.1%, respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by household and consumer goods company Miniso ( MNSO ) and educational services provider New Oriental Education & Technology ( EDU ) , which fell 15% and 5.2%, respectively.

From South Asia, the gainers were led by tech conglomerate Sea (SE) and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which rose 3.4% and 1.2%, respectively.

The decliners from South Asia were led by Indian information and communications technology firm Sify Technologies ( SIFY ) , which dropped 4.2%.
