Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Decline in Friday Trading, Up 3% for Week

10:54 AM EDT, 07/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were lower Friday morning, declining 0.59% to 2,454.15 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index. Despite the loss, the index closed out the week approximately 3% higher.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by thin-film liquid display maker LG Display ( LPL ) and fintech firm Pintec Technology ( PT ) , which rose 5.7% and 1.8% respectively. They were followed by mobile app developer Cheetah Mobile ( CMCM ) and consumer lending firm Qudian ( QD ) , which were up 1.4% and 0.6%.

The decliners from North Asia were led by fintech firm Jiayin Group ( JFIN ) and real estate and digital technology firm Eason Technology ( DXF ) , which shed 8.1% and 5.2% respectively. They were followed by polysilicon manufacturer Daqo New Energy ( DQ ) and fintech firm LexinFintech ( LX ) , which dropped 4.8% and 4.4% respectively.

From South Asia, the lone gainer was tech conglomerate Sea (SE), which increased 0.7%.

The decliners from South Asia were led by IT firms Infosys ( INFY ) and Wipro ( WIT ) , which fell 2.2% and 1.2% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications operator PLDT ( PHI ) and IT company Sify Technologies ( SIFY ) , which were down 1% and 0.9% respectively.
