Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Kick Off Week Higher in Monday Trading

10:47 AM EDT, 08/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts opened the week higher Monday morning, rising 0.82% to 2,371.23 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by financial services company CNFinance ( CNF ) and automotive marketplace Cango ( CANG ) , which climbed 7.5% and 6% respectively. They were followed by tech company Xunlei ( XNET ) and internet and data center services provider VNET Group ( VNET ) , which increased 4% and 2.6% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by electric vehicle maker NIO (NIO) and tech-investment firm Eason Technology ( DXF ) , which fell 5.8% and 4.1% respectively. They were followed by financial services company Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group ( MUFG ) and fintech firm Jiayin Group ( JFIN ) , which dropped 1.4% and 0.7% respectively.

From South Asia, the gainers were telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) and IT firm Infosys ( INFY ) , which rose 1.4% and 1.3% respectively. They were followed by tech conglomerate Sea (SE) and Wipro ( WIT ) , which were up 1.1% and 0.9% respectively.

The decliners from South Asia were led by financial services company ICICI Bank ( IBN ) , which dropped 0.9%, followed by pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) and financial services company HDFC Bank ( HDB ) , which were off 0.5% and 0.04% respectively.
