Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Rise in Friday Trading, Up 1.5% for Week

10:43 AM EST, 03/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were modestly higher Friday morning, rising 0.31% to 2,221.36 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index, which is up about 1.5% for the week.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by technology company Xunlei ( XNET ) and online education platform 51Talk Online Education Group ( COE ) , which climbed 13% and 12% respectively. They were followed by video-sharing site Bilibili ( BILI ) and biotech firm Zai Lab ( ZLAB ) , which advanced 7.5% and 5.3% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by e-commerce fashion platform MOGU ( MOGU ) and mobile big data platform Aurora Mobile ( JG ) , which fell 12% and 6% respectively. They were followed by consumer lending firm Eason Technology ( DXF ) and internet and data center services provider VNET Group ( VNET ) , which dropped 5.9% and 4.9% respectively.

From South Asia, the only gainers were telecommunications operator PLDT ( PHI ) and IT firm Infosys ( INFY ) , which edged 0.04% and 0.03% higher respectively.

The decliners from South Asia were led by telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) and financial services company ICICI Bank ( IBN ) , which rose 1.7% and 0.9% respectively. They were followed by IT firm Wipro ( WIT ) and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which were off 0.8% and 0.7% respectively.
