10:53 AM EDT, 06/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were higher on Thursday morning, rising 0.43% to 2,290.86 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by biotech firm I-Mab ( IMAB ) and social networking and dating platform company Hello (MOMO), which gained 19% and 10.7% respectively. They were followed by financial services firm CNFinance ( CNF ) and fintech company AMTD Digital ( HKD ) , which climbed 8.9% and 8.7% respectively.
The decliners from North Asia were led by tea drinks brand Chagee (CHA) and bitcoin mining company Cango ( CANG ) , which fell 4.7% and 3% respectively. They were followed by autonomous driving technology company WeRide ( WRD ) and computer hardware manufacturer Canaan (CAN), which shed 2.5% and 2.1% respectively.
From South Asia, the gainers were led by pharmaceutical company Dr Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) and multinational bank and financial services company ICICI Bank ( IBN ) , which rose 5.1% and 1.4% respectively.
