Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Rise in Tuesday Trading

10:43 AM EDT, 08/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were moving higher Tuesday morning, rising 0.92% to 1,902.25 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by game live-streaming platform HUYA ( HUYA ) and automotive ecommerce platform TuanChe ( TC ) , which climbed 17% and 6.4% respectively. They were followed by financial services company Nomura (NMR) and video-sharing site Bilibili ( BILI ) , which increased 5.9% and 2.5% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by music streaming service Tencent Music Entertainment Group ( TME ) and mobile big data platform Aurora Mobile ( JG ) , which tumbled 16.1% and 7.2% respectively. They were followed by ad agency iClick Interactive Asia Group ( ICLK ) and ecommerce fashion platform MOGU ( MOGU ) , which dropped 1.9% and 1.8% respectively.

From South Asia, the gainers were led by tech conglomerate Sea (SE) and business process management company WNS (WNS), which rose 9.1% and 1.7% respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) and IT firm Infosys ( INFY ) , which were up 1.5% and 1.1% respectively.

The decliners from South Asia were led by IT firm Sify Technologies ( SIFY ) , which lost 6.3%, followed by financial services companies HDFC Bank ( HDB ) and ICICI Bank ( IBN ) , which were down 3.2% and 0.7% respectively.
