Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Rise in Wednesday Trading

11:05 AM EDT, 07/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were higher in Wednesday trading, rising 1.04% to 2,008.61 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by live game-streaming platform DouYu International ( DOYU ) and automotive ecommerce platform TuanChe ( TC ) , which surged 35% and 15% respectively. They were followed by live game-streaming platform HUYA ( HUYA ) and internet and data center services provider VNET Group ( VNET ) , which climbed 9.7 and 7.6% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by pet-focused platform Boqii ( BQ ) , which fell 12%. It was followed by financial services company Dunxin Financial ( DXF ) and wealth management firm Noah (NOAH), which declined 2.7% and 2.3% respectively.

From South Asia, the gainers were led by biotech firm ASLAN Pharmaceuticals ( ASLN ) , which rose 2.3%. It was followed by tech group Sea (SE) and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which were up 1.3% and 0.8% respectively.

The decliners from South Asia were led by IT firm Sify Technologies ( SIFY ) and financial services company HDFC Bank ( HDB ) , which lost 8.1% and 0.7% respectively. They were followed by IT firm Wipro ( WIT ) , which was off 0.3%.
