Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Rise in Wednesday Trading

10:39 AM EDT, 08/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were tracking higher Wednesday morning, rising 0.58% to 3,025.84 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by education company Four Seasons Education (FEDU) and semiconductor company Silicon Motion Technology ( SIMO ) , which climbed 9.8% and 7.9% respectively. They were followed by automotive marketplace Token Cat ( TC ) and lender Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group ( SMFG ) , which rose 6.7% and 3.9% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by diagnostic imaging centers company Concord Medical Services ( CCM ) and utilities company Korea Electric Power ( KEP ) , which lost 7.7% and 3.9% respectively. They were followed by online game developer The9 ( NCTY ) and real estate management and digital tech company Eason Technology ( DXF ) , which dropped 3.7% and 3.3% respectively.

The lone gainer from South Asia was computer hardware maker Canaan (CAN), which advanced 4.1%.

The decliners from South Asia were led by IT firms Infosys ( INFY ) and Wipro ( WIT ) , which fell 3.4% and 2% respectively. They were followed by tech conglomerate Sea (SE) and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which were down 1.7% and 0.7% respectively.
