10:40 AM EDT, 09/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were sharply higher Wednesday morning, rising 0.94% to 2,683.28 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by internet services company Baidu ( BIDU ) and used car marketplace Uxin ( UXIN ) , which climbed 6.6% and 6.1% respectively. They were followed by internet and data center services provider VNET Group ( VNET ) and online brokerage UP Fintech ( TIGR ) , which increased 4.7% and 3.1% respectively.
The decliners from North Asia were led by solar panel maker JinkoSolar ( JKS ) and healthcare platform 111 (YI), which fell 3.8% and 3.7% respectively. They were followed by thin-film liquid display maker LG Display ( LPL ) and consumer lending firm Eason Technology ( DXF ) , which dropped 3.2% and 2% respectively.
From South Asia, the gainers were led by telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) and financial services company HDFC Bank ( HDB ) , which rose 2.9% and 2.8% respectively. They were followed by IT company Wipro ( WIT ) and IT firm Infosys ( INFY ) , which were up 1.2% and 0.7% respectively.
The lone decliner from South Asia was tech conglomerate Sea (SE), which was off 1.2%.
