Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Rise Slightly in Tuesday Trading

10:38 AM EDT, 08/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were edging higher Tuesday morning, rising 0.06% to 2,504.62 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by electric vehicle maker NIO (NIO) and pet-focused platform Boqii ( BQ ) , which climbed 10.5% and 3.6% respectively. They were followed by internet and data center services provider VNET Group ( VNET ) and polysilicon manufacturer Daqo New Energy ( DQ ) , which advanced 2.7% and 2.5% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by game live-streaming platform DouYu International ( DOYU ) and tech company Xunlei ( XNET ) , which fell 3.5% and 3.2% respectively. They were followed by utilities company Korea Electric Power ( KEP ) and financial services company CNFinance ( CNF ) , which lost 2.9% and 1.6% respectively.

From South Asia, the only gainers were IT firm Sify Technologies (SIFY) and tech conglomerate Sea (SE), which rose 2.8% and 0.1% respectively.

The decliners from South Asia were led by telecommunications operator PLDT ( PHI ) and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which dropped 2.3% and 2% respectively. They were followed by financial services company ICICI Bank ( IBN ) and HDFC Bank ( HDB ) , which were down 1.4% and 0.7% respectively.
