Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Surge in Thursday Trading

10:40 AM EDT, 07/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were surging Thursday morning, advancing 2.39% to 2,915.30 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by semiconductor companies Silicon Motion Technology ( SIMO ) and ASE Technology ( ASX ) , which climbed 26% and 8.6% respectively. They were followed by online game developer The9 ( NCTY ) and internet and data center services provider VNET Group ( VNET ) , which advanced 7.9% and 7.2% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by brand platform Baozun ( BZUN ) and lender Nomura (NMR), which fell 4.1% and 4% respectively. They were followed by automotive marketplace Token Cat ( TC ) and fintech firm LexinFintech ( LX ) , which were down 3.4% and 2.7% respectively.

From South Asia, the gainers were led by Canaan (CAN) and telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), which rose 6.8% and 0.8% respectively. They were followed by ICICI Bank ( IBN ) and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which were up 0.6% and 0.3% respectively.

The decliners from South Asia were led by tech conglomerate Sea (SE) and IT firm Infosys ( INFY ) , which dropped 3.8% and 3.5% respectively. They were followed by IT firm Wipro ( WIT ) and telecommunications operator PLDT ( PHI ) , which were off 0.8% and 0.3% respectively.
