Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Trend Lower in Tuesday Trading

10:33 AM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were lower Tuesday morning, declining 0.59% to 2,370.24 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by polysilicon manufacturer Daqo New Energy ( DQ ) and biopharmaceutical company Zai Lab ( ZLAB ) , which climbed 11% and 8.5%, respectively. They were followed by electric vehicle maker NIO (NIO) and computer hardware maker Canaan (CAN), which advanced 6.1% and 5.8%, respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by pet-focused platform Boqii ( BQ ) and game live-streaming service HUYA ( HUYA ) , which dropped 6.1% and 4.8%, respectively. They were followed by diagnostic imaging centers company Concord Medical Services ( CCM ) and internet and data center services provider VNET Group ( VNET ) , which lost 4.2% and 4%, respectively.

From South Asia, the only gainers were telecommunications operators Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) and PLDT (PHI), which rose 1.1% and 0.4%, respectively.

The decliners from South Asia were led by pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) and IT firm Sify Technologies ( SIFY ) , which fell 1.4% and 1.2%, respectively. They were followed by tech conglomerate Sea (SE) and financial services company HDFC Bank ( HDB ) , which were down 1.1% and 0.4%, respectively.
