10:31 AM EDT, 07/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts rose Thursday morning with the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index advancing 0.9% to 2,370.8.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by computer hardware maker Canaan (CAN) and brand platform Baozun ( BZUN ) , which climbed 9.4% and 6.5% respectively. They were followed by polysilicon manufacturer Daqo New Energy ( DQ ) and internet and data center services provider VNET Group ( VNET ) , which increased 5.2% and 4.4% respectively.
The decliners from North Asia were led by used-car marketplace Uxin ( UXIN ) and utilities company Korea Electric Power ( KEP ) , which fell 5.1% and 4.8% respectively. They were followed by mobile health-care platform 111 (YI) and mobile big-data provider Aurora Mobile ( JG ) , which dropped 2.9% and 2.8% respectively.
From South Asia, the gainers were led by IT firm Wipro ( WIT ) and telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), which rose 4.7% and 2.5% respectively. They were followed by tech conglomerate Sea (SE) and financial services company HDFC Bank ( HDB ) , which gained 0.8% and 0.5% respectively.
The only decliners from South Asia were financial services company ICICI Bank ( IBN ) and IT firm Infosys ( INFY ) , which eased 0.6% and 0.4% respectively.
