June 1 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
muted on Monday, as gains in energy and technology stocks were
offset by losses in materials shares, while investors focused on
developments in the Middle East following news of fresh
hostilities in the region.
At 9:30 a.m. ET, the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX
Composite Index was down 0.04% at 34,754.77 points.
