CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as metal mining shares climb

Oct 9 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index edged up at

the open on Thursday, as the materials sector gained tracking

higher metal prices.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (1331 GMT), Toronto's S&P/TSX composite

index was up 0.12% at 30,525.69 points.
