April 12 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
higher on Friday, pulled up by gains in the materials and energy
sectors, as the index recovered some of its weekly losses.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (13:31 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's
S&P/TSX composite index was up 50.53 points, or 0.23%,
at 22,160.64.
