CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on strength in energy shares

Nov 1 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened

higher on Friday, led by energy shares tracking a jump in oil

prices, while investors assessed U.S. jobs data.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (13:31 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's

S&P/TSX composite index was up 111.32 points, or

0.46%, at 24,268.19.
